Sunday 9th March Alisa Kleibanova and David Brewer are victorious in singles Alisa Kleibanova (8) wins the girls 18 singles title in her first attempt in a grade A championship. Today she proved her metal and exhibited her best tennis to upend the 5th seeded American, Krysty Marcio, in a little over an hour. The talented 13 year old Russian, promises to be a name to watch this year as we go into the European season. . - Going indoors presented no problem to Alisa Kleibanova (8) of Russia who ended the incredible run of Vojislava Lukic (6). 13 year old Alisa started strong in the match and kept the pressure on throughout, to win in straight sets, 6-3; 6-3. 2002 was her debut year, playing ITF tournaments, and she won the first tournament entered at the Costa Rican Bowl, however, this win has already surpassed her best achievement of reaching the grade 1 Coffee Bowl finals last December.
